Streets Is Watching @ Noble Elementary-Middle School
Apr 24 @ 7:00 am – Apr 28 @ 5:00 pm

This program is designed to combat the senseless violence happening to our children while traveling to and from school and to protect our women and elderly. We will create “safe zones” and “safe routes” to ensure their safety during the day.  As a community we create our own change within our neighborhoods. We cannot wait on the steam of people and officials who don’t live in our communities to help us stop this senseless violence against our babies and women.  The police cannot be everywhere at once. So we are taking the initiative and asking the community to join us in patrolling their areas at least twice a day! For the beginning of the 2016-17 School Year, patrols will initially cover the area north from Fullerton, south to Schoolcraft, surrounding Noble elementary & Flagship academy. We know that with YOUR support we can create a must needed change in our communities!

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT AND COMMITMENT!

Streets Is Watching patrols and surveils areas during the business week (Monday-Friday). There are two shifts each day: 7AM-10AM and 2PM-5PM. We are asking everyone to take the initiative to start a Streets Is Watching in their area. Our communities need you! If you would like to volunteer your time and help protect your community, please reach out by calling the New Era Elite, (313) 749-8344, or emailing streetsiswatching@neweradetroit.org.

CashMob Sunday
Apr 30 all-day

N.E.D. CashMobs are to bring awareness, money, accountability, and support to Black businesses…and our Black communities. We hold cash mobs every Sunday for Black businesses in the Metro Detroit area. This presents unknown Black businesses (relatively close) to the customers as an alternative to driving out of their communities and giving up that Black dollar.

To keep up with this week’s CashMob location, check the events page and follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
